Disposable Hasson Trocars are used in laparoscopic surgery and can be used as an entry point for other tools such as scissors, graspers, and staplers. A trocar is a surgical instrument that can be used to remove fluid from the abdominal cavity.
These blunt trocars are inserted into the abdominal cavity after a small laparotomy for laparoscopic surgery. A blunt-tipped trocar serves as a port for range travel. These trocars use Hasson technology to provide secure fixation, an excellent seal, and an atraumatic blunt obturator.
